West Side Community Garden
2021 Tulip Festival
We are delighted to announce that the Garden will be open to visitors for this year’s Tulip Festival.
The Festival weekends are April 17–18 and April 24–25, 10am–6pm. These dates are a best guess about the peak bloom period, as everything is dependent on the weather; spring bulbs flower when they are ready! Usually, there are tulips in bloom in the Garden throughout the last two weeks of April, and for a couple of weeks before and after.

West Side Community Garden is open from dawn to dusk for everyone to enjoy, every day. Please remember to wear a mask at all times and maintain social distancing.
WSCG HISTORY
West Side Community Garden was founded in 1976 on a trash-strewn, 89,000-square-foot vacant lot on Columbus Avenue that had been slated for an urban renewal project. West Side Community Garden is committed to providing a beautiful, peaceful, green space in which everybody can relax. The only privately owned example of its kind in New York City, the garden is fully funded by grants and donations and run entirely by volunteers.
