Generally, I do sheet-mulching with just layers of mulch.

One thing to keep in mind when using paper or cardboard, is putting it in the garden can increase pollution. That’s pretty much only if local recycling is available. Its because recycling paper reduces energy use and oil consumption, plus the sulphur dioxide in the air.

I visited the garden for the first time, today, to attend the Arts and Crafts Festival, which was really nice. I was so delighted at the beauty of the garden and enjoyed the poetry readings! Although I live on W. 43rd St., I hope to visit many more times. Congratulations on maintaining such a beautiful haven.
