Dear loyal audience members, we are having our last concert in the Garden tonight, Sunday, June 28th at 6 pm, and yes, it will be outdoors as usual! Please come and bring a towel or newspaper to sit on, as the wooden benches will be somewhat damp. This lutenist is a wonder, and worthwhile coming to hear.
Children’s crafts and live, bi-lingual music sing-alongs highlight the West Side Community Garden’s Annual Arts & Crafts Festival, Saturday, September 13 -14 2013 at the Garden, located on West 89th Street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues. The event is free.
Family-friendly events include a free crafts workshop for children (all materials provided) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The full schedule:

11:30AM to 12:30PM – Arts for Children Workshop with Veronica
1PM – Entertainment with Danny the Clown
3PM – Iluminada & Guillermo play Spanish guitar and lead a folk music singalong for children and adults (in English and Spanish)
Sunday, Sept. 14
12 PM New York String Orchestra conducted by Stephen Josephs, “Heading South on a Musical Journey”
2-4 PM Poetry reading with Howard Pflanzer, Rosalie Calabrese, and friends, with book signing and reception to follow.
Local Arts and Crafts, Gardening Books and Prints for Sale, 11 AM to 4 PM Saturday and Sunday.
